alright, my friends and i are CONSIDERING setting up a spider run service. We clear a path to the spider, get money, you charm it. Not exactly fast, but easy for the ranger payin for it.
How much might this run be worth to people?
Also, i heard there are different spiders that spawn randomly (elder, hearty, etc.)
Would people pay more for a certian type of spider?

i'd be greatful for any input

Also: (i just thought of this) i heard a spider appears after the reapers quest is completed. i.e. the labrynth's "unwanted guest" quest. when this spider appears, can more then 1 person charm the same spider?

There is another service I believe which charges 25k but not too long ago I saw about 3-4 rangers asking to cap spider paying from 10-20k. Myself, Im not sure how much, probaly what anyone would charge but I will be interested in your service soon if you start it.

i got mine free, just find a nice group with no pplz who will steal ur spider, happened to me 1 time but then a group was nice and i got mine

I don't charge anyone for being a part of a team, but I got "tips" twice for helping someone charming the little cutie. It seems people are willing to pay 4-5k per person on the team. The Elder spider is the best, but it might be hard charging extra for getting the best, since you have no control over which spider will arrive.

Had one pay each of the seven 12K. I got into the group at the last second and had no idea. I was wondering why the party was saying thanks and then leaving one by one.

I'm making my W/R into a beastmaster, and I "want" this thing. All groups I go with are arrogant and try to solo everything along the way. I end up being sent back to TOA near the time I get to the first step after arriving...God, I hate over-confident twelve year olds...

I would pay 3 ecto for the group that gets my level 4 ranger a spider. Is it even possible for a level 4 to charm the spider?

You have to be ascended to even enter UW. So it's not possible to do at level 4.

Of the groups I've been in, not one has made it to the spiders. If you could get me there, I'd be willing to pay all involved.

whats the diffrence between the elder spiders and hearty spiders?

There is only one spider at each of the reapers, not including the first one. The differences in elder and hearty are (I think) elder = +1 dmg and -20 hp....hearty = -1 dmg and +20 hp.

There's a thread or article somewhere on gwg that discusses the differences between pets. I bet Ensign had something to do with it.

i read this one a web site-some guy had an in-guild bet that he could ascend in less than 10 hours-he made it lvl 7 (grew 2 lvls in the ascension missions) seared at lvl. i think it would be possible for a lvl 4 ranger to do it

However, i'm a european, so i guess this would complicate things, i wouldn't mind switching servers if i know that i can deffinetely get a spider. Although, the time difference could complicate things

he means reaper of the labyrinth, this one does not have a spider, even after doing any and all of his quests
